Profile : BSc Database and Network Management

Increasing the level of quality and quantity of information services has increased the importance of networks and their management. These services provide fast and secure networking to knowledgeable and skilled staff.

Network Management Profile of Computer Science – Software Engineering offers a sub-specialization program in network management. Students will develop some specific modules within the courses, such as: Network Design, Network Building, Configuration, Protection, Performance Analysis, and Network Management. Students from the programming aspect will mainly concentrate on writing network evaluation programs that analyze and come to conclusions for its improvement. In addition to the aforementioned modules, in TI-1, 2 and 3 Project Materials, network-focused projects can be developed.

Within the TI-1 Project, students develop a group appraisal of the group’s choice in consultation and teacher approval. In the TI-2 Project module, students develop a wider application, which includes elements from web application. In the TI-3 Project module, students will implement all aspects of creating technical documentation according to international standards from the perspective of the customer, beneficiaries, developers and supervisors.

After graduation, students will be able to:

  • Design, develop, test, implement and administer the database of any platform
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop data resources to store and retrieve critical information in the shortest possible time
  • Evaluate databases and oversee modification of existing database software
  • Work for all types of organizations with the highest standards to provide data
  • Recognize and implement various software / database testing methods and ensure maximum quality
  • Recognize, evaluate and use programming languages to enable the development, testing of various information systems
  • To know, understand and apply algorithms and data structures to enable the most successful realization of different networks
  • Design, implement, maintain networks and data communication systems, including LANs, WANs, extranets, and intranets
  • Test systems before implementation and troubleshoot during and after implementation
  • Work individually or be part of a team.
